Sales / Service Porters

Dick Scott Motor Mall has immediate openings for Sales and Service Porters. Porters move and clean lot vehicles, prep sold vehicles for delivery, help the General Sales Manager and Service Manager as requested. 

This position offers COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION PLUS ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES in both Sales and Service Positions. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep inventory clean, in line, and make sure empty spaces are filled with fresh cards and trucks.
• Keep grounds in top shape daily, including: sweeping, picking up of debris, pulling weeds, snow removal, salt application, cleaning ash receivers, and scanning the lot every morning.
• Keeping work areas clean.
• Performing errands and quick trips as needed.
• Perform occasional odd jobs when management deems necearry.
• Keep showroom cars in shining, perfect condidtion, and replace sold units ASAP.
• Scan lot twice daily to keep the lot clean and free of debris at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. One year of experience as an automotive helper preferred. 
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Neat appearance.
• Good judgement.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Must be available to work evenings (Mon & Thurs) and Saturday hours.

Sales Representatives

Dick Scott Motor Mall (Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram brands) is currently hiring New and Used Automotive  Sales Professionals. Candidates must possess strong communication skills. Previous automotive  sales experience is preferred. We will train our ideal candidate(s).

 

Automotive  sales professionals are responsible for selling vehicles and meeting dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards. This position requires prospecting, selling and follow-up.

 

Duties & Responsibilities include:

 

•  Determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening

•  Ability to demonstrate each vehicle in product line (including test drives)

•  Delivery of vehicles to customers ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty and paperwork.

•  Attend sales meetings and training offered by the dealership and the manufacturer

Automotive Service Advisor/Writer

Dick Scott Motor Mall CDJR is currently seeking an experienced Service Advisor/Writer. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and a minimum of 2 year previous automotive service consultant experience. Dealer Track experience is a plus.

As a Service Advisor/Writer, you are a liaison between customers and technicians. You will work with customers to schedule service work and address any concerns. This includes handling administrative and customer concerns and comments to allow technicians to diagnose problems correctly. You will be required to translate the technician's findings, which may be complex, into language the customer will understand.

 As with all positions within dealerships, a Service Advisor/Writer is expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.

 Job Duties:

• Greeting customers, scheduling service appointments, and receiving vehicle information.
• Listening to requests of the service desired and clearly explaining information on the repair order.
• Referring the technician to the customer and/or test-driving the vehicle to confirm source(s) of service repairs.
• Estimating the cost and time needed to do the repair, taking into account the customer's schedule.
• Handling customer complaints and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.
• Handling escalated situations/performing follow-up as needed.
• Periodically checking on the progress of the vehicle during servicing and contacting the customer when technicians discover additional problems; getting customer approval to do additional work and explaining the work performed and the charges being billed.
• Assist with Quality checks on completed jobs as needed.
• Assist with overseeing work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean and inviting
• Assist with dispatching work to qualified and trained technicians.
• Communicating vehicle updates via text throughout the workday.

Service Technicians

Dick Scott Motor Mall location in Fowlerville is hiring Automotive Technicians-Mechanics. Technician will quickly and efficiently perform maintenance and identify the cause of breakdowns on vehicles and perform repairs. State of Michigan certification is REQUIRED

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, and document repairs
• Communicate with service advisors when additional repairs are needed or when repairs cannot be completed in the scheduled time period
• Inspect and test-drive new vehicles to ensure that all features function properly
• Install accessories on new vehicles as specified by the customer or dealer
• Work alongside skilled technicians to learn how to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs

Job Requirements:

• As an Automotive Technician (Auto Mechanic), you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver
• Must possess 2 years of automotive maintenance experience
• Must be Team oriented, flexible, and focused
• Preference given to Chrysler Level 3 technicians

Tire and Lube Express Technician

Dick Scott Motor Mall CDJR has openings for experienced Express Lube Technicians. Lube Techs are primarily responsible for performing oil changes, tire rotations, and services as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Performs all work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
• Diagnose and perform needed repairs
• Communicate with Parts Manager to obtain needed parts
• Examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Advise Manager if additional work is needed
• Document all work performed as soon as job is completed
• Attend factory sponsored training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations such as disposal of hazardous wastes
• Ensure that vehicles are kept clean
• Perform all other duties as assigned
