The turbocharged engine is standard on the Sahara and High Altitude trims while optional for all others. Optional for the Sahara, Rubicon, and High Altitude is the all-new 4xe plug-in hybrid system. Mating the turbocharged four-cylinder engine with two electric motors and a rechargeable electric vehicle battery, the Wrangler 4xe lays down an exciting 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of immediate torque. Additionally, the 4xe system gives the Wrangler 49 MPGe and a 370-mile total driving range. Lastly, the Rubicon 392 comes exclusively with a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine, ripping out an enthralling 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, taking you from 0-60 in just 4.5 seconds. The turbocharged, 4xe, and Rubicon 392 models come standard with 8-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the V6 engine comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission.

While slight changes have been made to keep up with the times, the base of the Wrangler's design has lasted for generations, with the upright seven-slot grille, round headlights, trapezoidal fender flares, and open-air freedom. Other standard exterior equipment includes front tow hooks, a zipperless soft top, 17-inch steel wheels, black fender flares, underbody skid plates, black bumpers, Dana 44 solid axles, and black side mirrors. Inside the Wrangler, you'll find drain plugs for easy cleaning, cloth upholstery, a 4.2-inch digital driver information display, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple/Android smartphone integration, six speakers, and push-button ignition. When you select a higher Wrangler trim level, you can get exterior features, including LED lighting, alloy wheels, a proximity key for remote keyless entry, power-adjustable heated side mirrors, and body-color fender flares, door handles, and mirrors.
