The V8 engine is paired with the sturdy TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission powering the rear wheels. However, three highly-capable drivetrains are available for the Wagoneer. Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II, with a rear electronic limited-slip differential. All three systems offer full-time 4x4 power while operating slightly differently to provide optimal traction for drivers from all walks of life.
